IMPORTANT: Please refer to the Copyright Guide for Students before using any material that was not created by you.

Pebble+

Pebble+ is the Personal Learning Environment where students create assets as records of their academic or personal learning experiences. These assets can then be combined within an ePortfolio to reflect progress over time

Assets

  • An asset is anything created or uploaded to Pebble+
  • Assets are generally records of learning, achievements or goals
  • Tags can be applied to assets to make them searchable/to group them
  • Assets can be targeted toward a particular purpose (eg. employment portfolio, creative portfolio, internship reflections)
  • Assets can be kept private, shared with other people or shared publicly on the web

Resources

  • Resources are fillable template pages or collections of templates (workbooks) created by teaching staff for a specific learning task
  • Templates and workbooks are generally created by teaching staff and made available to students (via ATLAS) to complete over time to record their development and achievements
  • Students are also able to create their own templates and workbooks!

Workspaces

  • Used for assessment submission via Share for Assessment

How to Share for Assessment

  1. In Pebble+, open the asset you’d like to submit
  2. On the top-right, click on I want to…
3. Click Share – a pop-up window will appear with various sharing options
  4. Click With ATLAS
  5. Click on the relevant workspace in the list to select it – ensure that a green tick appears next to Can I share? below the workspace title.  (A red X means that you are unable to submit – this can be for various  reasons, including: the workspace is not yet open for submissions, the  due date has passed or you have already submitted to that workspace.)
  6. Agree to the Terms of Usage by ticking the checkbox
  7. Click Share for assessment
  8. You will receive an email to your Griffith Student inbox confirming that your submission has been accepted
  9. If you go back to Pebble+ and click on the ‘i’ icon beside the I want to… button and scroll down, you’ll see a section called Shared for Assessment which will display the name of the workspace the asset has been shared to and when it was shared. If you’ve incorrectly submitted your asset, you can ask for it to be removed A) If this option does not appear, it’s likely because the submission has already been marked. You will need to contact your Course Convenor to request removal

To find more more information on submitting in PebblePad, see Sharing with ATLAS (PebblePad  Guide)

Removing Your Assignment From PebblePad.

First find where your Asset has been submitted, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to your Asset store
  2. Once you are in your Asset store, you will be able to see if the Asset has been shared for Assessment by looking at the three icons on the far right - they will be greyed out if there are no relevant shares.
  3. You can click on any of the 3 icons to open the Information panel - scroll down to Shares (and/or Shared for Assessment) to see where you have shared the asset

In the Shares section of the information panel, you will see an option to Ask for submission to be removed. If you click on this - assuming the due date has not yet passed and teaching staff have not commenced marking - your submission will be removed. Once the due date passes, or marking commences, you will need to contact teaching staff for your course to arrange the removal of an incorrect submission.

Accessing PebblePad Account After Graduation

You can continue to access your PebblePad account after you graduate from Griffith. To do this you will need to convert your PebblePad account to an Alumni Account. This must be done before graduation as you will not be able to complete this process after the date of your graduation.

Go to PebblePad's Free Alumni Accounts support page for instructions. It may take up to 24 hours for all your assets to appear in the new Alumni Account.
