Accessing your assessment feedback
Assessment marks and feedback can be accessed from your Canvas course site.
- Click on the Marks link in your Course Navigation
- Click the name of the assessment item
Feedback for individual assessment items may be viewed differently depending on what tool was used for the assessment:
Canvas enhanced assignment tool feedback:
When a submission has been marked, the Mark [1] displays in the top right corner, next to the Progress Tracker displaying the Review Feedback status [2].
If multiple submissions have been added, you can be previewed by selecting the attempt from the Attempt drop-down [3].
If a Rubric was used to mark the assignment, the completed rubric displays [4]. If multiple markers scored your submission with a rubric, you can view how individual marker's completed the rubric using the Select Marker drop-down [5].
For more information, see How do I view assignment comments from my instructor? (Canvas Guides).
If one of your peers also provided feedback, see Where can I find my peers' feedback? (Canvas Guides).
Turnitin assignment tool feedback:
For assessments submitted through Turnitin, feedback may only be visible through Turnitin submission points.
To view your Feedback and Marks on Turnitin
- Return to the submission point.

- Feedback will be visible on your submitted document either by clicking on the speech bubble icons or in the Instructor Feedback section on the right hand side:

Viewing your course marks
Each Canvas course has a marks area that can be accessed via the left-hand course menu. For information on how to access and interpret information on the Marks page, see How do I view my marks in a course? (Canvas Guides).
In some courses, you may see a total mark or percentage in the Markbook. It is important to note that this mark, or the total of marks, is not your grade. Final course grades, including your Grade Point Average (GPA) are displayed on your myGriffith page at the end of each trimester. The grade publication dates are noted in the academic calendar.
Your grade is calculated after aggregating and weighting the marks achieved in individual assessment tasks. There is no predetermined distribution of grades nor are there predetermined cut-offs, as course grade cut-offs may be varied by Assessment Boards. For more information, please see section 5 of the Assessment Policy.
If you believe there is an error in your grade, you may seek a grade appeal or review. See Frequently Asked Questions - Assessment (griffith.edu.au) for more information.
Your full unofficial transcript can be found on your myGriffith page.
