Enhance your career prospects with a double degree

Choose from our extensive range of double degrees to study across disciplines and explore new opportunities. With nearly 50 unique combinations available, you’re bound to find a combination that’s right for you.

At Griffith, we offer undergraduate doubles—which combine two bachelor degrees—as well as vertical doubles—which combine a bachelor with a related postgraduate qualification, such as a masters. This means you can either broaden your foundational knowledge to open up a wider array of career options or specialise even further in a specific area and fast-track your way to more advanced opportunities.

Whichever you choose, opting for a double degree is a great way to get more for less from your university experience.

How to apply

You can apply for a double degree via QTAC or UAC.

How do double degrees work?

Our undergraduate double degrees allow you to complete two bachelor degrees simultaneously, generally over four or five years. You’ll be able to follow your passions and gain broad foundation of complementary skills that can be applied across industries, so there are more doors open to you when you graduate.

Combining two bachelor degrees usually involves studying the same number of courses each trimester as you would in a single degree. You’ll complete core courses from both, but with fewer electives, which saves on time and fees. And depending on what degrees and subjects you choose, you might also be able to finish faster by studying across all three trimesters.

Our double degrees are structured to include industry internships and work placements throughout, giving you the opportunity to make practical connections between each study area. In your final year, you’ll complete a capstone course that brings together all the knowledge and skills you’ve gained during your double degree—and apply it to a challenge or opportunity relevant to your areas of focus.

Our vertical doubles combine a bachelor and Masters degree, offering a fully rounded education in your chosen field. You may also be able to get out into the workforce sooner and access higher-level job opportunities and salaries earlier in your career.

For most verticals, you’ll complete the bachelor component within the first three years of your degree, followed by an additional year for the masters portion. This means you'll benefit from a cohesive curriculum that builds upon itself and provides a streamlined journey through both degrees. You'll also have a greater sense of certainty about where you’re going while you study—with an achievable end goal always in sight.
