Conditions for your booking

I confirm that I have read and understood the information sheet (PDF 91k) and in particular have noted that:

• I understand that my involvement in this research will include
  • sitting all parts of either IELTS (Academic) or Pearson Test of English (Academic)
  • indicating my reason for taking the test, and
  • granting permission to the researchers to access the stated personal details and GPA from the University database;
• I agree for the test owner (IELTS; Pearson) to release the scores from this subsidised test to Griffith University for research purposes. All data will be processed by the test owner (IELTS, Pearson) and Griffith University in accordance with their respective privacy policies;
• I have had any questions answered to my satisfaction;
• I understand the risks involved;
• I understand that there will be no direct benefit to me from my participation in this research except to receive a proficiency test score at a subsidised fee;
• I understand that my participation in this research is voluntary and does not impact on my university studies or academic result in any way;
• I understand that if I have any additional questions I can contact the research team;
• I understand that I am free to withdraw at any time, without comment or penalty;
• I understand that I can contact the Manager, Research Ethics, at Griffith University Human Research Ethics Committee on 3735 5585 (or research-ethics@griffith.edu.au) if I have any concerns about the ethical conduct of the project; and
• I agree to participate in the project
