Choosing a study option
You might still be thinking about what to study, so it’s useful to explore your study options and application processes.
If your disability or health condition has impacted your achievement to date, adjustment factors (such as the Educational Access Scheme) may help boost your chances of an admission offer.
It is also important to understand the essential requirements of your chosen study program, including assessments, exams, assignments, work placements, fieldwork and/or laboratory tasks.
You should also consider the professional accreditation requirements for employment in your chosen profession (for example, teaching registration or professional membership.

Tertiary Education Experience for high school students
Our Tertiary Education Experience is a program for high school students in Years 9–12 with disabilities to check out their university options. Our full-day program includes:
- an overview of assistive technology at Griffith
- a panel discussion with current students and staff
- a workshop to help students find a career path based on their strengths and personality
- a tour of Nathan campus and its facilities.
- a special information session for parents, guardians and carers on university life.
You'll also have the opportunity to become a pilot for a day and experience what it's like to take to the skies in a cutting-edge VR simulation.
Our next Tertiary Education Experience day will be held:
Date: 21 August 2024.
Time: 9.am–2pm.
Location: Campus and room to be confirmed.
Orientation sessions
During Trimester 1 and 2, we hold orientation sessions for students with disabilities to learn more about our services and associated resources.
All students are welcome, but please register if you plan to make it.
