Griffith has the largest Indigenous student population of any Queensland university
Griffith has led the way nationally in its support for and numbers of Indigenous students, celebrating diversity, practicing inclusiveness and encouraging participation with Australia’s first tertiary student support unit for Indigenous Australians.
We recognise the unique place of First Peoples in our history and culture and the importance of respecting Indigenous knowledge, culture and talent.

My story: Ljudan Michaelis Thorpe
Ljudan is a proud Bidjara-Dhunghutti woman undertaking a Master of Screen Production. She is the first person in her family to go to uni and says it completely changed her life. She wants others from her community be able to achieve at uni too.
Racism. It stops with me
Griffith proudly supports the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Racism. It Stops With Me campaign, which encourages all Australians to take a stand against racism.
