Getting started

Install Turbo.net — Windows PC

  1. Go to Turbo.net portal
  2. Click Getting started tab
  3. From Client Downloads go to Turbo.net for Windows > click Turbo-client...exe link
  4. Once completed, go to your Downloads folder > click Turbo-client...exe file to run
  5. The Open File - Security Warning prompt appears > click Run
  6. The Turbo.net installation page will appear > click Continue

How to download and install Turbo.net on Windows

Turbo.net on Macs

Run in Cloud (HTML5) is available for MacOS and Linux. You will be connected via your web browser to an application running on a remote server. You must connect your OneDrive to Turbo.net and save all data to your T:\OneDrive.

To run a Turbo.net application in Local mode you must use a Windows Bootcamp or virtual machine (such as Parallels).

NOTE for M1 Macs; Bootcamp and virtual machines running x64 Windows are not officially supported on M1 chip. All applications in Turbo.net are available on student computers found on campus.

Launch your course applications

  1. Go to https://griffith.start.turbo.net
  2. Sign into Microsoft using your Griffith email > click Next
  3. You will be redirected to Griffith single sign-on page > log in using your Griffith email address and password > the Microsoft login page will appear > click Yes if you wish to stay signed in
  4. You will be redirected to the Turbo.net dashboard

Saving files in Turbo.net

When using Run in Cloud (HTML5) or Run in Cloud (Windowed) modes you will need to save files to your Griffith OneDrive account. Files saved outside of OneDrive (T:\OneDrive) will be deleted when you quit the application.

When using Run on My PC (Local) you will have access to your local file system so can open and save files on your computer.

Issues with accessing and saving files.

If you have connected your OneDrive and experience issues accessing and saving files, try disconnecting and connecting your OneDrive again.

Connect to your OneDrive account

  1. Log into the Turbo.net portal
  2. Select the Files tab
  3. Click the Connect button
  4. Sign in with your Griffith University email account, this will redirect you to the Griffith Single Sign-on login
  5. Sign in with your sNumber and password
  6. Click Accept.

Turbo will display your OneDrive folder as T:\OneDrive in Explorer (Windows) or Finder (MacOS).
