Applications to become one of the Griffith Sport Event Leaders are open to current Sport and Event Management students (or those with an interest in the field). This program will give you the opportunity to build practical skills to complement your current university studies and, most importantly, increase your graduate employment prospects.

Volunteer role
Leaders will work across a range of different sporting events in varying roles in order to develop a well-rounded base of skills. A few of the roles you may be assigned to include:
- Course Marshals and Supervisors
- Finish Line Marshals
- Timing Officials
- Registration and Bag Drop
- Water Station crew
- Event set up and pack down crew

Key event dates
It is preferable that all Griffith Sport Event Leaders are available to attend the key sporting events. As you will a vital part of the event team, the implementation of each of these events will be reliant on your ability to be present and execute the event with us. Working across each and every sporting event will provide you with the opportunity to take on a varying number of roles and thoroughly develop your skills.
What happens next
After your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to arrange a time for a meet and greet session. This is an opportunity for us to provide a more in depth overview of the program and our expectations of each Leader, as well as learn what your strengths and areas of interest are.
