Griffith Sport is looking for qualified referees and umpires to officiate our sporting competitions

Our sporting competitions are run year-round and open to everyone. We are looking for enthusiastic, qualified individuals to help make our competitions a welcoming and enjoyable place to play sport.

Griffith Sport offers a great work environment and a competitive pay rate for those employed as a match official.

Social Sport match officials are required for each of our competition seasons. Weeknight availability is required. Competitions run between 5:30pm and 10pm, however the duration of a shift may vary and will depend on team nominations. All games are played at Griffith University facilities in Mount Gravatt & Nathan (Brisbane).

To register your interest as a match official in the Social Sport Competitions, complete the relevant form for each sport for which you want to apply for. Provide as much information as possible when completing an interest form so your application can be accurately and promptly assessed.

Applications must include a resume, including:

  • Cover letter outlining the applicants suitability, desirability and reason for applying
  • Personal details
  • Examples of past referee/umpire experience
  • List of relevant qualifications pertaining to refereeing/umpiring

Successful applicants will be contacted about positions as referee & umpire places become available.
