Griffith Sport offers weekly social competitions in mixed and mens Basketball that are broken into 5 seasons that can be played in all year round. The competition is open to everyone. Whether you're a university student, alumnus, staff member or a general member of the public, everyone is welcome to play at Griffith Social Sport.

Thursday Mens, Sunday Mixed

Competitions begin the week of 12th January

8 weeks, 6 round games, 2 weeks of finals

Every team plays each week. Round games and Finals matches

Bye matches may be required.

Game times at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm & 9pm Thursdays and 4pm, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm Sundays each week

Requests by Teams for early/late games will be considered where possible.

How to Register

Teams: If you have a full team ready to enter, the team captain will register on behalf of the full team

Individuals: Sign up as an individual and we'll place you in a team. If you have a friend you want to be in a team with, you both need to register and email socialsport@griffith.edu.au with both your details (full name, email and sport) prior to close of registrations.

Pricing

Griffith University student team: $320 (minimum five currently enrolled Griffith students)

General public team: $720

Griffith University current student individual: $70 (currently enrolled Griffith student)

General public individual: $110

To receive the GU student price, you must enter the appropriate discount code in the registration step prior to making your payment: You must also be a currently enrolled Griffith University student and have your student number recorded in your user account to be verified, failure to record a verified student number will result in the balance owing being charged to your account.
