Charity

This year, the Griffith Sport Toohey Trail Run proudly partners with Diabetes Australia, a charity dedicated to supporting the diabetes community. As part of this collaboration, $5 from every registration fee will be donated to Diabetes Australia to support their vital work.

For the past six years, Griffith Sport has worked closely with the diabetes community in Queensland through this impactful partnership. Diabetes Australia is the national organisation supporting nearly 1.5 million Australians living with all types of diabetes, as well as those at risk. The organisation funds critical research, provides education, and offers advocacy and support to reduce the impact of diabetes on individuals and communities.

One such initiative is DiaBuddies Days, a key part of Diabetes Australia’s broader youth programs. These events bring together children, parents, and health professionals—such as credentialled diabetes educators and dietitians—creating opportunities to connect through fun and practical activities. DiaBuddies Days promote better diabetes management, combat isolation, and help foster a supportive, informed, and engaged community for families.
