Griffith University Blues Awards for Sporting Excellence
The Blues Awards are in recognition of outstanding sporting performances of Griffith University Students and highlight the efforts of those who continue to achieve at high standards in both areas. Following the tradition of Oxford and Cambridge, Blues Awards are a prestigious and valued symbol of excellence in universities and we encourage you to apply to be considered in this elite group of athletes.
To be eligible for a Griffith University Blue candidates must:
- Be a currently enrolled student of Griffith University in at least one semester during the period of 20 November 2018 to 13 October 2019;
- Be eligible for entry to Australian University Sport competitions held within the period of 20 November 2018 to 13 October 2019;
- Be participating in a sport that is funded by the Australian Sports Commission or a non-funded sport that is in the Olympic or Paralympic Games or the Commonwealth Games;
- Have competed at an international competition whilst representing your nation during the period of 8 October 2018 and 20 October 2019 inclusive;
- Have achieved sound academic results during the year of the nomination; be able to demonstrate promotion of the sport within the Griffith University community or be a member of a Griffith University registered club for the sport in which the nomination is being made.
Nominations must include:
- A completed nomination form
- A copy of full academic transcript
