Scholarship details

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • be enrolled in full-time study at Griffith University in the Bachelor of Business degree or a dual degree including a Bachelor of Business
  • be completing an Accounting major
  • be commencing third year of study, having completed a minimum of 160 credit points (you must have two trimesters of full-time study and at least 60 credit points remaining)
  • have a minimum GPA of 5.

  • Personal statement: In 500 words or less, write a statement demonstrating your passion, involvement and activities in the accounting or finance sector.
  • Challenge(s) statement: In 250 words or less, detail your financial circumstances that have the potential to impact upon your continuing studies at Griffith University.
  • Supporting documentation: Please upload Centerlink and/or budget statements. Please upload the following formats only: PDF, Word, JPEG or Excel. We cannot guarantee other formats will be accepted.

Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.

Value

Maximum value is $5,000, payable in instalments. Payments of $2,500 are payable for each full-time enrolled trimester in which all conditions are met, up to the maximum value of the scholarship.

As an additional benefit the donor may choose to provide an opportunity for the recipient to undertake a work experience or vacation placement at QC Accountants.

Scholarship recipients will be invited to participate in events hosted by the donor to promote participation in professional development and networking.

Payment

Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date subject to the recipient maintaining ongoing eligibility requirements.

Sponsor details

To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:

  • remaining enrolled as a full-time student in the approved Griffith Business School undergraduate degree with an Accounting major
  • maintain a minimum GPA of 4.5.

The recipient may also be invited to meet with the donor and feature in marketing materials to promote the scholarship.

The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, it is at the discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee to withhold the trimester instalment or terminate the scholarship. The recipient must show cause to the Scholarships Office why the scholarship should not be cancelled.

Applications, including any supporting documentation, must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Offers are made via email.

Applicants may be required to provide additional information. The scholarship selection panel may request short-listed candidates be interviewed.

Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.
