Support in your first year of study within the Griffith Business School
The Nealemon Business School Scholarship is to provide support for first year students studying an undergraduate degree within the Griffith Business School.
This scholarship provides support for students affected by different types of educational disadvantage (financial hardship, educational disruption, disability or others) that has impacted their ability to achieve their full potential.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa Holder
- be a Griffith Business School undergraduate student in*, or entering into, their first year of study
- demonstrate educational disadvantage based on a comprehensive assessment by the University
- be enrolled full-time at Griffith University
*Current enrolled students will require a GPA 4.

Application assessment
Applicants will be ranked according to the universities comprehensive Educational Disadvantage Assessment (EDA). Information provided by individuals in their Griffith online scholarship application is assessed and ranked in accordance with the following Educational Disadvantage Assessment categories:
- Financial hardship
- Home environment and responsibilities
- English language difficulty
- Personal illness and disability
- Educational disruption
- Relocation within Australia.
Priority will be given to students who are not in receipt of any other scholarship funding (excludes Vice Chancellor’s Academic Achievement Scholarship).
Value
Maximum value of the scholarship is $5,000. Instalments of $2,500 are payable in Trimester 1 and 2 provided conditions are met.
Payment
Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:
- remain full time enrolled at Griffith University in an undergraduate degree hosted by the Griffith Business School
- maintain a GPA 4.0.
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.
A scholarship recipient may take a leave of absence in accordance with university policy. Scholarship benefits are suspended for the period of leave of absence.
Recipients may be invited to meet with the donor and feature in marketing materials to promote the Scholarship.
Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date.
Subject to receipt of donor funding, and at the discretion of the University, this scholarship may continue for an additional period which may extend throughout the duration of the degree. Recipients will be notified in writing of the outcome in each applicable year.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.
