Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must be:
- an Australian citizen
- identify as female
- continuing and a full-time enrolled undergraduate student
- enrolled in a dual degree within the Griffith Queensland College of Art and Design and the Griffith Business School:
- 1652—Bachelor of Visual Arts/Bachelor of Business
- 1439—Bachelor of Fine Art/Bachelor of Business
- 1568—Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Business
- 1456—Bachelor of Photography/Bachelor of Business
- 1438—Bachelor of Creative and Interactive Media/Bachelor of Business
- have a minimum GPA of 4.5.

Study details

Statements
- Personal statement: Outline your ambition to be creative within a business context and your career aspirations.
Value
Maximum value is $1,500, paid in instalments. Instalments of $750 are payable in Trimester 1 and 2, provided conditions are met.
Payment
Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date, subject to the recipient satisfying the scholarship terms and conditions.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient will be required to:
- remain full-time enrolled at Griffith University in the programs for which the bursary was awarded
- maintain a GPA of at least 4.5.
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.

Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.

Since graduating from Griffith University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts and then again in 2005 with a Masters of Marketing Management, Ms Laurenson celebrates an outstanding career.
Her passion for creativity and design intersects with the business world along with her drive and commitment to the community, which has seen her achieve incredible successes.
As Director of Advancement for the Institute for Molecular Biosciences (IMB) she has brought her twenty years' experience in marketing, philanthropy development, events and sales, along with her unflappable can-do nature, and developed life-changing opportunities for the organisations she has worked in.
Given her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, Ms Laurenson has chosen to make an impact on the next generation of globally responsible creative business leaders. Through the creation of the Laurenson Family Imagine Bursary, she is helping those students who demonstrate the talent but need a hand up to realise their full potential.
