This scholarship encourages motivated and ambitious candidates to pursue an undergraduate degree hosted by the School of Information and Communication Technology.
Applications are encouraged from school and non-school leavers who have a School of Information and Communication Technology degree as their first preference. This scholarship provides support for students affected by different types of educational disadvantage (financial hardship, educational disruption, disability, or others) that has impacted their ability to achieve their full potential.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder
- be applying to commence university for the first time in Trimester 1 2025
- be eligible for admission into and have applied to commence full-time study in Trimester 1 2025 with an undergraduate degree hosted the School of ICT as your first preference on your QTAC or UAC application.
- demonstrated educational disadvantage based on comprehensive assessment by the University
- not be in receipt of any other scholarship.

Application assessment
Applicants will be ranked according to the University's comprehensive Educational Disadvantage Assessment (EDA). Information provided by individuals in their Griffith online scholarship application is assessed and ranked in accordance with the following Educational Disadvantage Assessment categories:
- Financial hardship
- Home environment and responsibilities
- English language difficulty
- Personal illness and disability
- Educational disruption
- Relocation within Australia.
Value
Maximum value of $5,000, paid in two instalments. Instalments of $2,500 are payable in trimester 1 and 2 provided conditions are met.
Payment
Payments are made within six weeks after census date, subject to recipients satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:
- remain full-time enrolled at Griffith University in an undergraduate degree hosted by the School of Information and Communication Technology
- maintain a GPA of 4 or above.
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.
Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.
