Griffith Business School Academic Excellence Scholarships assist motivated, ambitious and high-achieving students seeking admission to an undergraduate business or government degree hosted by Griffith Business School (GBS).
Applications are encouraged from school and non-school leaver candidates who have achieved an ATAR above 82 or equivalent.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or hold a Humanitarian Visa
- be a student commencing university for the first time in Trimester 1 2025
- have the GBS degree as your first preference on your QTAC or UAC application
- have achieved an ATAR above 82 or equivalent
- not be in receipt of any other scholarship funded by Griffith University.

- Personal statement: In 500 words or less, outline how the scholarship would benefit your studies at university and support your career aspirations when graduating from a business and/or government degree at Griffith.
Candidates will primarily be ranked based on ATAR scores and other supporting academic achievement including how they articulate the personal benefit of the scholarship to support their career aspirations in business and/or government.
Value
Maximum value of the scholarship is determined by the length of the undergraduate degree for which you are awarded and is calculated at a rate of $625/10 CP . For example:
- $15,000 for a single degree (240 CP)
- $20,000 for a double degree (320 CP).
Payment
Instalments are based on enrolled credit points for the trimester, up to the maximum value. Payments are made directly to the recipients' nominated bank account up to six weeks after the census date of each trimester, subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
Please note payments made to those studying part-time may be taxable.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:
- maintain a minimum term GPA of 5.5 or above (each trimester)
- remain enrolled in a Griffith Business School-hosted degree (changes to the degree for which the scholarship is awarded may impact the value of this scholarship)
- not be in receipt of any other scholarship funded by Griffith University.
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, it is at the discretion of the GBS Scholarship Selection Committee to withhold the trimester instalment or terminate the scholarship.
Applications, including any supporting documentation, must be completed and submitted by the closing date.
