Support to help cover audition costs
This prize will be awarded to a third-year musical theatre student to assist with costs associated with auditioning.
Such costs might include self-tests and travel to attend in-person auditions, as well as developing or maintaining performance skills.

Competition details
To be eligible for this award, you must:
- be enrolled in the third year of the Musical Theatre program at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or hold an Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa (or its equivalent)
- not hold any other Griffith University scholarship that serves the same core purpose
- demonstrate reasonable financial need.

Selection process
Applicants must complete in full the application form.
Student applications and GPAs will be assessed by Griffith University and a shortlist of no more than six will be drawn up.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to undertake an interview with the donors. Interview will be no longer than 15 minutes. Students will be provided examples of interview questions in advance.
Shortlisted applicants will be judged by the selection panel for their performance and professionalism within the annual end of year showcase. Note: panel members are permitted to attend up to two rehearsals of the showcase.
The winner will be chosen based on their application and live performance.
The adjudication panel will be made up of:
- the Director, Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre or their selected representative
- one outside professional involved in, or with extensive experience in, musical theatre
- one donor or their selected representative.
$2,000 to be used to travel interstate to attend auditions within 12 months after the competition date.
