International Research Partners
The International Initiative for Transforming Human Origins Research has collaborations with researchers based at international partner organisations across the Global South, with the stated mission to both increase the diversity of perspectives and research priorities in the study of human evolution and focus on regions of the world that are underrepresented and understudied. Our international research partners are based in institutions that span Homo sapiens’ southern dispersal arc from Africa to Australia, allowing us to work closely with local researchers and Indigenous peoples. In addition to our Global South research partners, the International Initiative for Transforming Human Origins Research has partnered with international researchers based in leading institutions in Mainz and Jena (Germany), Burgos (Spain), London (UK), Cleveland and Washington (USA), and New Zealand.
