Partner with the experts that can make your quantum technology projects work

When it comes to finding the best collaborator, only QUATRI has the range of experts and capabilities to turn discoveries into prototypes and more.

Our founding institutes have an established track record of excellence, attracting millions of dollars in public and private investment. QUATRI brings those entities together to simplify entry, for commercial and industry partners, into our research-intensive culture.

We’re also growing and setting our sights on delivering on large scale industrial partnerships that could transform the sector. We plan on expanding our Attosecond facility to host external projects and building a lab capable of testing and measuring cryogenics and microwaves. Our semiconductor foundry will also diversify to meet the commercial demand for high-quality silicon manufacturing that will power future devices.

By bringing all of Griffith’s quantum technology experts and capabilities together under QUATRI, we can rapidly respond and deploy our resources to support any size project.

Our world-class facilities

Quantum equipment glowing green

Australian Attosecond Science Facility

The country’s premier ultrafast and intense-field laser facility includes two high-power few-cycle Titanium: Sapphire lasers. These lasers serve as a flash for Australia’s fastest camera—the Reaction Microscope.

Characterisation Facility

Complementary to the fabrication capability provided by the Queensland Microtechnology Facility, the Characterisation Facility provides material and device characterisation capability in the micro- and nanoscale.

PsiQuantum

Griffith University’s partnership with PsiQuantum will see a new ‘Test and Validation’ lab opened at Griffith’s Brisbane South campus in early 2025.

Our impact

Griffith scientists have made significant strides in understanding and controlling liquid interactions on tiny, advanced surfaces, a breakthrough that could impact a wide range of industries, from self-cleaning materials to medical devices.

In a study published in the journal Advanced Materials Interfaces, researchers at QUATRI explored how specific surface structures – called re-entrant microstructures – could repel water and other liquids.
