Creating sustained improvements for neuroimmunology and emerging diseases
The National Centre for Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases is a world-class research facility focusing on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), long COVID, Gulf War Illness (GWI) and rare illnesses.
Our national and international reputation has been built on acknowledging that the patient is our number 1 priority. We promote patient engagement in research through understanding the pathophysiology of ME/CFS, discovering screening/diagnostic testing and establishing effective pharmacotherapeutics using laboratory models that are implemented through clinical trials. Our aim is to translate our research to improve patient outcomes in the area of preventative medicine, social and clinical care, and public health.
