Multidisciplinary excellence in mental health research, translation and impact
The Griffith Centre for Mental Health unifies the work of Griffith University mental health researchers by fostering innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Our mental health researchers contribute to some of Australia’s largest nationally funded research projects, including youth mental health, parenting and family interventions, and lived-experience initiatives.
For over a decade, Griffith’s mental health research has attracted funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Medical Research Future Fund and the Australian Research Council, as well as Federal and state governments, community and industry partners.
Over more than a decade, Griffith academics have collaborated directly with community organisations including:
- Beyond Blue
- Gold Coast Health
- the Multicultural Centre for Women's Health.
- the National Rugby League
- Queensland Independent Anglican Schools
- Brisbane Catholic Education
- the Queensland Mental Health Commission
- Kids Helpline
- Child and Youth Mental Health
- ACT for Kids
- Roses in the Ocean
- Mates in Construction
- the Royal Life Saving Society
- We Skate Queensland

The Griffith Centre for Mental Health builds on this record by facilitating multidisciplinary internal collaboration, leveraging Griffith expertise in health, business, education, criminology and science to inform and enhance mental health research, translation and impact.
