Practical programs, powerful partnerships

Here you can find out more about our Gender Equality Research Network Research Seed Support Scheme, as well as our research industry partnerships.

You can also see our 2022 Career Research Program, which includes opportunities for mentorship and collaboration with experts, as well as the programs we ran in 2021, 2020 and 2019.

GERN Research Seed Support Scheme

Our Gender Equality Research Network Research Seed Support Scheme has been designed to support and develop research engagement and performance.

All GERN members were eligible to apply for the 2021–22 scheme, including HDR candidates.

The support scheme grant winners' research aligns with the dual ambitions of GERN—gender empowerment and women in research.

You can find out more about the grant winners and their projects below.

ARC Mentor Intensive Program

The Australian Research Council has flagged that by 2025 there will be a demand for more women in research grants and in research leadership positions.

Our ARC Mentor Intensive Program promotes opportunities to support women in the early stages of their academic career, regardless of current workload (teaching led, balanced, or research led). The Mentorship scheme pairs our early career academics with mentors who dedicate their time and knowledge to prepare for the competitive grant process.

The program is run every calendar year.
