In the Ruins of the Future
In the Ruins of the Future: The role of the creative artist at a time of "thin" belief
In this seminar, Professor Julian Meyrick (CARI/GCSCR/HLSS), asks what the role of the creative artist might be if it is not defined by a Western binary choice of ‘conventional/entrepreneurial/celebrated’ or ‘outlier/avant-garde/resistive’. Thin belief is a state of mind where what we know in a cognitive sense does not reflect what we feel we know on a deeper level of emotional awareness.
