Quantum and Advanced Technologies Talent Building Program Carers Assistance Package

We are seeking enrolled Griffith PhD candidates in quantum and advanced technologies with significant caring commitments for an immediate family member who are intending to attend conferences or visit relevant industry or research venues in 2025.

The Quantum and Advanced Technologies Talent Building Program aims to build the talent pipeline for the quantum and advanced technologies ecosystem in Queensland. The objectives of the program are to:

  • Contribute to and strengthen participation of students in quantum and advanced technologies for those who identify as women or non-binary, are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, or are from regional areas
  • Train a new generation of PhD students into excellent quantum researchers capable of being  pioneers in this emerging discipline
  • Build technology capability and skills across a range of fields
  • Improve translation and commercialisation skills
  • Foster collaboration across academia and industry

The Quantum and Advances Technologies Carers Scholarship is for enrolled Griffith PhD candidates in quantum and advanced technologies with significant caring commitments for an immediate family member who are intending to attend conferences or visit relevant industry or research venues in 2025.

To be successful, applicants must be enrolled at Griffith University conducting their PhD in at least one of the following areas:

  1. Quantum
  2. Compound semi-conductors
  3. Superconductors
  4. Photonics
  5. Micro-electromechanical systems.

The Quantum and Advanced Technologies Talent Building Program Carers Assistance Package provides a $5,000 allowance to support candidates with caring responsibilities to attend conferences or visit a relevant industry or research venue in 2025.

Candidates can only apply to receive this support package once during candidature.
