Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) and Griffith University PhD Scholarships
Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) and Griffith University have established a joint funding program to support suitably qualified ASSCAT staff members to enrol in the Doctor of Philosophy program at Griffith University.
Scholarship details
Griffith will provide tuition fee scholarships to cover the full cost of tuition for up to three (3) years with a possible six (6) month extension, as well as Overseas Students Health Cover for 42 months.
ASSCAT will arrange for the following support to be provided as per the funds provision approved by the Government of the Philippines:
- living stipend (the living stipend will be a minimum value of approximately AUD 3,000 monthly for up to three (3) years with a possible six (6) month extension
- roundtrip airfare
- pre-departure expenses
- relocation allowance
- book allowance
Initial screening and recruitment will be the responsibility of ASSCAT Faculty and Staff Development Program and will involve the nomination of candidates from ASSCAT. Candidates may be required to meet ASSCAT internal guidelines for satisfying project prerequisites. The favoured areas of research for this program are under the themes of environmental science, agriculture, engineering, education, arts and sciences, information science and technology, business and entrepreneurship and other related fields. Other areas can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants nominated by ASSCAT will be eligible to apply for PhD admission and scholarship at Griffith, with final selection to be made by Griffith.
Applicants must meet all relevant Griffith academic entry requirements, including the prescribed level of English language proficiency for PhD admission and scholarships at Griffith. Candidates are required to hold a bachelor degree with first-class honours or second-class honours (Division A), or be regarded by Griffith as having an equivalent level of attainment, as specified on the Equivalent qualifications for HDR program admission webpage.
Suitably qualified candidates supported by ASSCAT as implemented by the Faculty and Staff Development Program, will then apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Griffith.
Griffith will assess all applications in accordance with its PhD admission requirements, including academic performance standards and English language proficiency requirements:
