We’re collaborating to create social impact for the benefit of our communities
At Griffith, we’ve made it our mission to work tirelessly to create a better future for all. That’s why we strive to engage in commercial and research relationships that not only redefine the boundaries of what’s possible, but create the most positive outcomes for the greatest number of people.
Through our impactful collaborations with industry and community partners across the government, private and not-for-profit sectors, we’re breaking bold new ground for everyone’s benefit in areas such as climate science, social justice, environmental sustainability, community health, space exploration and more.
It’s an old truth that two heads are better than one—and with our partners’ help, we’ve come a long way in the past 50 years. Just imagine what we’ll achieve together next.
Why partner with Griffith
Since our inception, we have worked to undertake projects and build relationships with organisations whose core values reflect our own.
Historically, we've found teaming with people who are on the same philosophical page has yielded the best results for all involved and this belief remains central to our collaborative plans today.
Through shared ethics, mutual respect, and a focus on social and environmental responsibility, our partnerships seek to improve social outcomes and increase human understanding in a way that benefits us all.
We'd love for you to join us.

Our collaborations
Our partnerships and collaborations unlock opportunities of all kinds. Hear from some of our industry and community partners and discover how our various alliances benefit all involved.
Tourism Masterplan: Murweh Shire Council
In partnership with Murweh Shire Council, Griffith University developed an ambitious 20-year roadmap for the southwest Queensland locality’s Tourism Precinct Masterplan. As part of the plan, the shire, of which Charleville is the biggest town, has opened a centre for its secret US base that was operational in World War II and the Southern Hemisphere’s largest planetarium. The first of many, these attractions preserve our heritage and provide meaningful regional opportunities.
The Phoenix Pavilion: Binna Burra Lodge
Griffith University is the lead university partner for the historically significant nature-based tourism operator, Binna Burra lodge, in the world heritage-listed Lamington National Park Gondwana rainforest. Griffith has partnered with the innovative eco-tourism provider during a critical time for the organisation, following a devastating and unprecedented bushfire. The partnership has research, learning and teaching outcomes spanning fields of environment, tourism, architecture, as well as climate adaptation and resilience.
Griffith University and Queensland Ballet Partnership
Griffith University has partnered with Queensland Ballet to deliver excellence in education and the arts, providing students with invaluable opportunities and making a positive impact in the community. Queensland Ballet Artistic Director Li Cunxin AO says the three-year partnership made perfect sense given the values of the two organisations were already so closely aligned.
Gilmour Space Technologies
Griffith University’s five-year partnership with Gilmour Space Technologies is driving important innovations in Queensland’s burgeoning space sector. As part of this powerhouse partnership, locally developed Low Earth Orbit prototype satellites are set to take to the skies in 2023.
Oceania Paralympic Committee
The partnership between Griffith University and the Oceania Paralympic Committee (OPC) is a comprehensive alliance that prioritises excellence, innovation, and community engagement. This collaboration, formalised through an official Memorandum of Understanding, spans wide engagement from international relations and visibility to research, education, advocacy, tourism, and sports.
Queensland Creative Futures Program
Griffith University’s creative and performing arts schools joined forces to bring a lively program of events for both high school students and the local community to regional Queensland. Be part of Queensland Creative Futures as a partner to create a brighter future for regional Queenslanders and their communities through music, visual art and design, and film.
