Areas of responsibility

The Chief of Staff provides high level advice and strategic support to the Vice Chancellor and Executive on matters influencing the higher education sector. Sarah operates as a significant link between the Vice Chancellor and other senior executive staff of the University, academic elements as well as members of the internal and external community. She is responsible for the delivery of University-wide strategic initiatives and projects as well as the Vice Chancellor’s internal strategic engagement. Sarah leads the administrative functions of the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

Ms Stefie Hinchy

Director, Transformation

Areas of responsibility

The Director Transformation provides advice and expertise to support the delivery of the University’s strategic plan and transformation objectives. Stefie is a champion of change, supporting Executive, senior leaders, and colleagues to design and implement people, process, policy, and technology related change. She is also responsible for engaging the University community and building internal capability in change management, process improvement and experience design.

Dr Jennifer Beattie

Head of Government Relations

Areas of responsibility

The Head of Government Relations has oversight of the University’s Government engagement strategy and framework. Jennifer coordinates and leverages internal networks of expertise to deliver University wide end-to-end Government relations management at a local, state and federal level. She is also responsible for formulating responses to government policy and providing strategic advice to University Committees and high-level information to senior officers.

Executive Strategy and Research Analyst

Areas of responsibility

Provides high level executive strategy and research support to the Vice Chancellor, Chief of Staff and Head of Government Relations. Prepares executive reports, speeches and briefing papers including the necessary research and analysis to inform these. Supports the Chief of Staff in analysis and strategy coordination across portfolios, external engagement and event management.

Ms Christine Kara

Senior Executive Assistant

Areas of responsibility

The Senior Executive Assistant provides high level and personal administrative support to the Vice Chancellor and is responsible for the day-to-day administration, policies and processes of the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Christine is the primary point of contact for the Vice Chancellor's diary, undertakes travel arrangements and supports the organisation of University corporate events.

Ms Kelly Collyer

Executive Support Officer

Areas of responsibility

The Executive Support Officer is responsible for processing and actioning correspondence, managing the Vice Chancellor's public email account, contact databases and website. Kelly also manages information technology matters and provides administrative support to the Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff.

Administrative Support Officer

Areas of responsibility

The Administrative Support Officer provides general administrative support to the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Bianca also provides diary management support, reception to visitors to the Nathan Chancellery Office and finance administration.

The Administrative Support Officer provides general administrative support to the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Talise also provides diary management support, reception to visitors to the Gold Coast Chancellery Office and finance administration.
