About the speakers

Professor Ashlea Troth

Ashlea is Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Griffith Business School and is an expert on the impact of emotional intelligence on the workplace. She received her Master of Organizational Psychology at Griffith University and her PhD in psychology at the University of Queensland. Ashlea’s research examines emotional regulation and emotional intelligence in workplaces. She is also interested in the day-to-day work experiences of frontline managers and the role their emotional regulation strategies on wellbeing when performing a range of tasks.

Dane Jacka

Dane is a Griffith MBA alumnus, consultant, facilitator and mindfulness educator with a passion for assisting organisations to develop a healthy and productive relationship with purpose, people and impact. As a life-long meditator and mindfulness educator, he is particularly interested in exploring how mindfulness principles can be applied more broadly throughout organisations to enhance productivity, wellbeing, collaboration and innovation. Dane is the founder of Pauseful, a consulting company that assists organisations to embed mindfulness skills, develop the mindful leaders of the future and to refresh their strategic direction.
