Applying to study at Griffith English Language Institute is easy. With applications open all year round, you can complete your application in these simple steps.
Direct Entry Program
If you are applying to the Direct Entry Program, follow these steps.
Step 1: Choose what you want to study
Find the Griffith University program or Griffith College diploma which meets your career and study goals.

Step 2: Prepare supporting documentation
Prepare your supporting documentation including certified copies of any required documentation (translated into English if applicable).
Step 3: Apply online
Apply online or via a registered recruitment representative. We will let you know in your Letter of Offer how many weeks of English you should need to complete to achieve your study goals. If you are also applying for a Griffith University degree or Study Abroad or Exchange program, you will receive a packaged offer.
Step 4: Accept your offer
Once you have received a Letter of Offer, you must return evidence of meeting any outstanding conditions, formally accept your offer and pay your total English program fees and if applicable other program deposit fee.
General English
If you are applying to study General English, follow these steps.
Step 1: Prepare supporting documentation
Prepare your supporting documentation including certified copies of any required documentation (translated into English if applicable).
Step 2: Apply online
Apply online or via a registered recruitment representative.
Choose your preferred course length and submit proficiency test results if you have them. We will send you a Letter of Offer.
Step 3: Accept your offer
Once you have received a Letter of Offer, you must formally accept your offer and pay your total deposit fee.
After you accept your offer
Once you have accepted your offer, we will:
- send you an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment if you are applying for a student visa
- send you a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare, if applicable
- provide information about Orientation Day
- provide you with a computing login letter so you are able to update your contact details
