The Institute for Glycomics Grand Ball is an annual black-tie event which is supported by Griffith University as well as the local and broader community.
It's an unforgettable night including a delicious three course meal, four-hour beverage package (beer; cider; sparkling, white and red wine and soft drinks), exciting raffle and auction prizes, live entertainment all night, and an exclusive afterparty.
Every dollar raised through this event goes directly towards the Institute's research into finding new cures and preventions for devastating diseases of global impact.

Young Conservatorium Queensland
Pre-dinner entertainment
Guests will be treated to pre-dinner entertainment courtesy of Young Conservatorium Queensland. As part of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Young Conservatorium offers a broad range of musical experiences for children as young as 2 through to adulthood, including preparation for tertiary studies.
Young Conservatorium has a thriving ensemble program including symphony orchestras, wind bands, string orchestras, jazz ensembles, choir, and various instrument specific small ensembles. Their performance will feature students from their small ensemble and chamber music programs performing works arranged by the students.

Fronted by Stu Campbell and Kate White, Magic Carpet Ride covers some of the greatest songs of all time, 100% live. You’ll be taken on a ride through decades of party tunes, classic rock, pop floor-fillers, 80’s anthems, current hits and lots more.
With the experience and talent to 'read the crowd', their set-lists are constantly changing while they are actually on stage - to suit each individual audience. No two shows are ever the same. Magic Carpet Ride has spent years supporting many of Australia’s best known performers and playing for large-scale events and major corporate functions.

There will be an exclusive afterparty at Hydrate Bar, located in the lobby level of RACV Royal Pines Resort, directly opposte the Reception area.
Join us at Hydrate from 11pm until 2am and wind down with friends in a welcoming, casual space before calling it a night. A cash bar will be open and the Institute for Glycomics has arranged a private DJ to entertain guests from 11pm until the doors close. See you there!
