GRIDD manages equipment bookings, professional services and reagent purchases through the iLab tool
iLab Operations Software (iLab), is a web-based tool designed to support operation of centralised laboratories and shared research resources such as equipment. iLab includes
- Equipment training requests
- Equipment reservations system
- Equipment access control via Kiosk
- Service request management
- Milestone management
- Equipment management and usage tracking
Requests and bookings
From October 2021 this system will become the only way to access and request instrument time from high-end equipment including:
- 4 mass spectrometers
- 2 nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers
- High-resolution microscopy, live cell imaging, and 3D image analysis
- Other analytical and specialist laboratory equipment
