What can Information Solutions assist with?
Information Solutions is responsible for designing and creating information management and productivity improvement solutions. These solutions address information storage, process improvement and automation, digital approvals, and data capture outcomes, as well as building data analytics/integrated reporting capability where appropriate. We create these solutions using out-of-the-box capabilities in the Microsoft 365 suite and Acrobat Sign.
We also:
- Support components of the Microsoft 365 suite of products.
- Manage the digital signature product, Acrobat Sign.
- Development of Microsoft Power Platform workflows
- Provide advice to EICP-funded projects.
What is our engagement approach?
In designing and creating a solution for our clients, Information Solutions works in a collaborative, iterative and nimble manner. We believe that the best solutions are created when there is a collaborative partnership with our clients.
Phases for Solution Delivery
Wait Times
Information Solutions is a very small team receiving a large number of solution requests. Due to the high demand for our services, clients should expect to experience a delay between initial communication and the kick-off meeting for the job. The wait time varies between a few weeks and several months depending on the phases other jobs are in at the time and the need for Information Solutions to balance solution development and delivery with their other operational responsibilities.
How does Information Solutions prioritise job requests?
Information Solutions provides its services at no cost to our clients. Even though we do not charge, our work is highly valued, and the team is committed to providing the highest value to the University. It is sometimes necessary to re-adjust the projected commencement date for a client’s job after that date has been communicated. This is usually based on the prioritisation of other incoming jobs where a clear University priority must take precedence.

What our clients should expect from Information Solutions
- We will create solutions that are user-focused, technologically current and informed by information management best practice. Wherever possible, these solutions will be designed for our clients to be able to self-manage the solution after the engagement ends.
- We will provide regular updates on the status of the solution, including communicating timelines, when work begins, when more information or a decision is required from the business, when there are delays, when testing is required and when the solution is ready to be deployed.
- We will complete testing according to Digital Solutions testing framework and work with our clients to create user acceptance test scripts for the completion of testing by the client business area. Each solution will be documented in a Information Solutions Analysis Document and access will be provided to the client.
- If required for the solution, we will create and deliver training or training resources prior to deployment and as negotiated with the business area.
What Information Solutions requires from our clients for a successful outcome
Our goal is to work with our clients to create the best solution possible.
- You will be a highly engaged and active participant in the design of your solution. You will need key staff who are empowered and have adequate availability to meet with us regularly, provide information or decisions when needed, and ensure user acceptance testing is completed in full in a timely manner.
- You will be willing to iterate and recognise that sometimes a minimum viable (workable) product which is developed and deployed quickly will enable you to refine your requirements and make iterations over time.
- You understand that Microsoft 365 is an evergreen environment (new features are continually released) and this means that what we create for you may be able to be improved on over time.
- You will be responsible for any change management activities and communication about any changes brought about by the solution to your broader team.
- You understand that we may need to delay the commencement date for your job to meet other priorities.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your solution once delivered. Whilst you can reach out to Information Solutions for technical issues, it is our goal to make you self-sufficient in the administration of your solution. We have other resources to help you uplift your knowledge and skills to assist you with this goal.
