Encouraging female students to study and develop the skills needed in an evolving aviation industry.
The Griffith Women in Aviation Day was launched in 2017 to encourage female students to study Aviation at a tertiary level who are interested in either becoming pilots, managers, aircraft safety inspections/investigators, IT or engineers within the aviation industry.
The event will run on Friday 6 March 2020 at our Nathan Campus and coincides with Women of Aviation Worldwide Week. Students will participate in hands-on activities including a flight simulator trial and hear presentations from a variety of female industry speakers. Female students in Years 10 to 12 are encouraged to apply.
The Griffith Women in Aviation Day is limited to three students per school. Students must wear full school uniform with closed in shoes.

The Griffith University Women in Aviation Day is limited to three students per school. Teachers must register on behalf of students although not required to attend on the day. Students may be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian.
A photographer will be present on the day. To give photo consent, students will need to bring a signed copy of the model release form attached.
