Researching today to change lives tomorrow
At our core is a commitment to innovation and excellence in health research. Through leadership and collaboration, we champion research which contributes to the advancement of medical knowledge, designed to optimise health in our local and global communities.
We work collaboratively with several key national and international researchers, including members from the Gold Coast University Hospital and the National Research Centre.
In pursuit of future research which will improve health outcomes of our communities, we work hard to ensure our Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students get the best possible support for their studies through a range of enrichment activities and programs.
Innovative learning and teaching
The AUS$150 million purpose-built Griffith Health Centre (Ian O'Connor building) is set in the stunning Gold Coast region of South East Queensland, Australia. It provides state-of-the art facilities, including a comprehensive dental clinic in which our students learn their craft.
The School of Medicine and Dentistry offers postgraduate degrees in clinical dentistry, medicine, and public health, as well as undergraduate programs in dental health science, dental hygiene, dental prosthetics, and dental technology, paramedicine, and public health. Our programs are accredited by the relevant national accrediting bodies including the Australian Dental Council and the Australian Medical Council, and have been developed to serve the needs of South East Queensland, Australia and the international community.
Our School is renowned for innovative learning activities, emphasising the human dimensions of health practice. We achieve this through extensive use of small group and simulation-based learning, as well as by focusing on interprofessional learning, where you learn with, from and about students in multiple health programs. Working with students of other health professions will allow you to gain the real-world skills you will need to collaborate effectively in practice after graduation.
Dental Clinic
The Griffith University Dental Clinic offers a variety of general and specialist dental services ranging from simple scale and cleans all the way up to complex implant rehabilitation.
Whether you visit one of our student or private (fully-qualified) practitioners, you can be assured that you'll receive the latest evidence-based treatments from passionate individuals who are committed to improving your oral health.
