Mosaic at Griffith is an exciting innovation for people living with mental health conditions in Brisbane
It provides free 8-week courses at Griffith University’s Brisbane City (South Bank) campus, commencing in 2025. Courses are taught by university tutors in state of-the-art facilities at the Queensland Conservatorium and the Queensland College of Art and Design.
What inspired the name 'mosaic'?
We named the program ‘Mosaic’ to symbolise the idea of bringing together diverse pieces to create a cohesive, vibrant, and impactful whole. Just as a mosaic is crafted from a variety of unique tiles, each contributing its own colour and shape, our program brings together a wide range of perspectives, strengths, experiences, expertise, and talents. This reflects our commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and creativity, where each participant's contribution plays a vital role in creating something greater than the sum of its parts.
By fostering collaboration across individuals and organisations, we aim to build a stronger, more innovative community where every contribution is valued. The name ‘Mosaic’ symbolises the power of collective effort, where diverse voices and resources are woven together to achieve meaningful and lasting change.
