Bridging the Gap between Physical and Mental Illness in Community Pharmacy (PharMIbridge) project
Testing the effectiveness of a person-centered, goal-oriented and flexible pharmacist-led support service for consumers living with severe and persistent mental illness in comparison to a standard in-pharmacy medication review service.
Indigenous Medication Review Service (IMeRSe) study
Investigating the feasibility of a culturally appropriate medication management service delivered by community pharmacists in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers.

Co-lead
Professor Amanda Wheeler
Amanda is a Professor of Mental Health at Griffith University. She is a registered pharmacist who has worked as a health practitioner, educator, and researcher in mental health and pharmacy practice for almost 20 years. She is nationally and internationally recognised for her expertise in these areas.

Professor Dianne Shanley
Dianne has held key leadership roles in health services over the past 10 years, including Director of Griffith University’s Allied Health and Psychology Clinics. She has led the progression of 3 multi-site, multi-million-dollar research projects integrating primary health care with specialist systems, using community-driven solutions for health system challenges. Her vision is to use co-design to re-design healthcare systems, ensuring community voices are heard, and healthcare journeys are experienced with safety and dignity. Her research improves how health services are delivered, making access to help easier and quicker. She has received over $22M in research funding to date.
