Why is this study being conducted?

This study will evaluate the safety, effectiveness and immune response of a messenger RNA (mRNA)–based investigational vaccine aimed at protecting against norovirus disease.

Who is eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are over 18 years of age
  • Are in good health or have a well-controlled medical condition
  • Do not have a chronic gastrointestinal disease that is associated with ongoing symptoms of vomiting and/or diarrhea

Applicants who express interest in participating in this study will be reviewed and contacted as other requirement criteria must also be met.

What happens during the study? 

Trial duration will be up to 2 years and participants will have at least 6 trial visits

Trial site visits will occur at the Griffith University Clinical Trial Unit on the Gold Coast.

You will receive 1 dose of the study vaccine or placebo during the study.

You will have 6 safety phone calls.

Volunteer to participate

Participation in this study is completely voluntary, and participants can decide to withdraw at any time.

Eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time and travel associated with each study visit.
