Global internships offer high-achieving students nearing completion of their degree the opportunity to increase employability by gaining practical exposure to a professional environment in an international setting.

As a work-integrated learning (WIL) strategy, global internships enable students to complete an industry-related project or series of tasks on a full-time, short-term (6-week) basis and are unpaid.

Destinations include China, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia.

Applications for Trimester 3, 2024 are open and will close in July 2024.

Search Griffith's Go Global hub for additional opportunities.

Please note - All in-country Global WIL opportunities will be reviewed prior to delivery in relation to travel advisories and student health and safety, and may not proceed if the University is not confident of both or cannot provide comprehensive insurance coverage. We recommend that students do not book travel until recruitment is finalised and the program is confirmed. We will endeavour to do this as far as possible in advance.

Immersing myself in another culture through a global internship with Griffith gave me a greater understanding of Chinese business practices and about myself, both of which will be extremely helpful in my career. Having that understanding from working within the culture will definitely help me network in the future.
