Professor of Economics
Professor Paul Simshauser AM is a leading energy industry figure with more than two decades experience in the sector. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Powerlink Queensland and a Professor of Economics at Griffith University’s Centre for Applied Energy Economics & Policy Research.
He has previously served as Director-General of the Department of Energy and Water Supply, a role in which he also supported the Lockhart community through the Government Champion program. The program provided Queensland government chief executives the opportunity to work with communities to improve the life outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
In addition, Professor Simshauser AM has raised significant funds for student scholarships and prizes at Griffith University.
