Offering incredible student experiences
Cruise industry experience
Our 10-day study tour cruising to the South Pacific offers students an immersive opportunity and real-time exposure to the rapidly growing cruise industry. Students learn about the industry structure and trends, supply chains, ship operations, cruise marketing, passenger experience at sea and on land, risk management, and sustainable cruising through lectures, workshops, a behind-the-scene tour, and meetings with cruise professionals.
When I was presented with information on the cruise industry experience course, I did not know that the conversations curated on the cruise ship and the people I met there, would ultimately lead me on my career path. I learnt so much during the experience that I continued my PhD studies with a focus on the industry. I am grateful that the cruise industry experience offered such an impactful start to my career.

The Tourism Study Tour
This study tour is a unique experiential learning course which involves reflectively visiting Italy and Dubai. Focusing on three pillars of destination management success - competitiveness, sustainability and authenticity - the course offers students the possibility to broaden their educational, professional and life experience by applying theories to real industry contexts.
The course facilitated a deeper learning and engaged us as students to think more critically about the content that was presented to us. The course was exciting, gave us international experience and travel experience, and challenged our thinking beyond that of a typical tourist. I had so much fun on the course and made some great friends.
