Planning for your research data
If you're unsure on how to organise your data and what you need to think about, the Library have an informative site to help you work with data and your research projects.
Your research data will fit under a category of classification. This classification may change how you handle the research data. The Research Data Classification Guide Infographic will help you determine which category your research data fits.
The Information Management sharepoint page will contain detailed information and an app to help you with figuring out which category your data fits into.
Research data has a legal retention period based on the type of data that you are collecting for your research. The Retention Periods for Research Data Infographic provides a quick summary to help you get started.
The Information Management Retention sharepoint page will contain detailed retention information if you'd like to read further.
