Naomi McCarthy OAM is a two-time Olympian and Olympic Gold Medallist who has more than 20 years of sport industry experience including high performance sport and programs, strategy, governance and partnerships. She leads the strategic direction of sport in Griffith, including the Sport Strategy, the Women in Sport Strategy and the renowned elite athlete program (Griffith Sports College), that has produced more Olympic and Paralympic student athlete success than any other Australian University. She drives sport, elite athlete support and performance programs that utilise Griffith’s expertise in performance support and sports research across all disciplines and engages extensively with sporting organisations and peak bodies such as AIS and QAS. Naomi has served on many Boards and committees, including as the current Deputy Chair of Qld Rugby League, the Hockey Australia High Performance Committee, Queensland Academy of Sport Board and WomenSport Queensland. .
