Established senior executives may also find value in Impact Leadership as a comprehensive refresher program, ensuring their practice is informed by the latest developments in management and leadership.

What you’ll learn

If you’re a mid-career manager with aspirations of senior leadership or an experienced executive in need of a comprehensive refresher, Impact Leadership is the ideal program for you.

Divided into eight innovative and workplace-relevant modules, Impact Leadership is a fully customisable, flexible program that can be delivered on site or at one of Griffith’s campuses. The program can be delivered in an intensive format over about 8 days, or staggered over weeks and/or months.

Facilitated by world-class leadership experts from Griffith Business School, the program focuses on the key aspects of advanced leadership, including building and leading a high-performing team, strategic thinking, and managing the complexities of change. You’ll also take a deep dive into often-overlooked aspects of high-level management, including resilience, the intersection of entrepreneurship and leadership, and defining organisational culture.

On completion, participants will emerge as advanced leaders with the potential to thrive in senior leadership roles. As a graduate, you’ll be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the challenge of leading in the changing world of business and help your organisation thrive now and into the future.

After graduation, all participants will receive:

  • an exclusive Griffith Business School digital badge and micro-credential* in Impact Leadership *on completion of an assessment
  • entry to the Advantage Network.

Graduating participants will also be eligible to apply for credit points towards a Griffith Graduate Certificate of Leadership and Management.

Participants have the option to elect to add on two one-on-one coaching and mentoring sessions with a qualified coach (Additional costs apply).

Module 2

Building and Leading a High-performing Team

Explore what makes a high-performing team and how responsible leaders successfully build and manage them.

Module 3

Responsible Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Discover the important role entrepreneurship plays in successful responsible leadership.

Module 4

Responsible Leadership and Strategic Thinking

Develop a clear understanding of the various types of strategy, the significance of strategic thinking and the role of leaders in steering strategic change, as well as the art of mapping strategy.

Module 5

Leading Through and Beyond the Complexities of Change

Gain insights into the essential skill of managing and leading through organisational change.

Module 6

Resilience and the Responsible Leader

Develop a personal resilience plan and explore how resilience became a crucial but widely misunderstood leadership skill.

Module 7

The Culture Module—Leading into Tomorrow

Explore the key aspects of—and important current and future trends in—workplace culture.

Module 8

A Problem Shared—Applied Mentoring and Coaching

Course finale. Delve into real workplace issues with a facilitated group discussion.
