Job-search networking
Many jobs are not advertised. For employers, recruitment is expensive and time consuming. Up to 75% of jobs are found through network referrals. Building a professional network can help you access this hidden job market.
Networking and informational interviewing involve having ‘career conversations’ for the purpose of exploring careers or job searching. Through networks, you can gain deeper insights into career pathway options and specific job roles requirements, putting yourself in a great position to gain your preferred role. The key to an effective job search is to be proactive—take initiative—don’t just wait for a vacancy to be posted.

Informational interviews
Informational interviews involve talking with people currently working in field you're interested in. Conducting informational interviews with people you admire is a great way to find out about your desired job and make some great new contacts.
