Opportunities
Graduates of the Bachelor of Paramedicine will be able to apply for employment as a graduate level paramedic within Australia and at selected international locations such as the USA, Canada, Scotland, England, New Zealand, following registration as a paramedic with the Paramedicine Board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Other career areas could also include the military, private organisations who hire paramedics, such as mining, and other commercial paramedic opportunities.
Graduates of this program will be skilled in:
- providing out-of-hospital care, including assessing and treating patients in emergency and non-emergency situations
- providing transport to hospital as well as routine transport for patients to and from treatment facilities
- administering a range of drugs via different routes
- patient documentation and providing health education.
