Experience that matters
Since 1982, we have been providing a successful bridge between the Queensland College of Art and Design and the visual communication design industry. We are one of the longest-running design studios in Australia and a flagship experience for multiple generations of QCAD graduates.
Our projects
We have successfully collaborated with Brisbane Youth Service, Refugee & Immigration Legal Service (RAILS), Redcliffe Area Youth Space, artisan Queensland, Griffith University Art Museum, State Library of Queensland, Tyalgum Music Festival, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Queensland, Uniting Care, Queensland Police Service, Business South Bank, Policy Innovation Hub, Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland, BTP Workspaces, Griffith Film School, and hundreds of other organisations.
WARPED Publication
Liveworm has formed a continuing relationship with Brisbane Youth Service across several youth-focused projects. Their Wellbeing And Relapse Prevention Education (WARPED) program aims to support young people in danger of relapsing into harmful alcohol and substance use. The booklet design by Liveworm designers incorporates a non-confrontational visual strategy, combining a soft colour palette and easy to read information with a series of quirky youth-focused illustrations.
BeMe Brand Identity
Mental Health Association Queensland (now Drug ARM) engaged Liveworm to develop a brand identity for their ‘Be Me’ initiative, promoting positive mental health and well-being to young Australians in an engaging manner. The concept proposed by Liveworm designers included multiple brand marks — each one a different shape and colour combination. The outcome is vibrant and engaging while communicating diversity and the message that everyone is unique yet still connected.
Getamungstit
Getamungstit is an award-winning magazine managed by the Gold Coast Student Guild for Griffith University Gold Coast students. Each edition of Getamungstit is themed, starting with the O-Week edition and including other subjects such as travel, freedom, fake news, food, nostalgia, and summer. Liveworm designers have worked with the Student Guild to create new illustrations, infographics, and editorial layouts that form the publication.
