Join us for two full days of musical theatre fun and learning. The Brisbane Musical Theatre Workshop, held at our studios in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, offers training for the purpose of improving general technical application and knowledge, while gaining insight into training practices encouraged for the QAEMT Bachelor of Musical Theatre audition.

Participants have the opportunity to develop their musical theatre skills (acting, singing and dancing) and may be workshopped on a musical theatre audition song.

A final showing will be filmed and shared with participants' families and friends.

  1. Go to GriffithPay and pay the fee for your preferred workshop
  2. Complete the enrolment form

The workshop will be split into two groups which will run concurrently—a junior workshop for participants in grades 8—10 and a senior workshop for participants in grades 11 & 12 plus*.

The groups will come together for the final showing, which will be filmed for families and friends.

No audition required—entry is open to anyone who wants to build their musical theatre skills.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes you can move in (active wear is best). If you own jazz shoes, then also bring these. You may also wish to pack a spare shirt to change into after dance sessions.
What to bring: Water, snacks, lunch and a towel.
Solo songs and Masterclasses - Participants should prepare two x 2 minute cuts of musical theatre songs for workshopping and must bring two printed copies of your sheet music marked up for the accompanist and the singing teacher. We recommend that you put your sheet music for the pianist into a display folder or have it taped up.
