Unique outback film camp
Film, animation and screenwriting students from around the world have the opportunity to head to the iconic Australian Outback for an intensive program of writing, production, masterclasses and screenings.
Open to passionate secondary school students in year 11 and 12 to explore screen and media production as an exciting option for a career pathway after school.
Students experience an extraordinary hands-on, immersive journey, under the supervision and direction of experienced industry professionals and Griffith Film School lecturers through the various aspects of creating a short film during the camp.

Study areas

Animation
Participants will gain insights into the whole animation creation process. Participants will explore all stages of production –from ideation and storyboarding, through to selecting media (2D/3D), editing, sound and export and produce their own animation using the stop-motion technique.

Film and Screen Media Production
Participants will gain insights into how films are made, inducing the basics of visual languages and how moving images are interpreted by audiences. In addition, participants will take part in all stages of pre-production, production and post-production in both cast and crew roles and have first-hand experience producing a live-action sequence.
