The LANDSEASKY exhibition explored the relationship between video and spatial representation. Australian and international artists were brought together to essay images and concepts that extend the investigation of video space formally and materially. Several artworks challenged the illusionist elements we readily consume in screen culture, while other artworks focused on points of connection between histories and societies with fresh perspective. The approaches of the exhibiting artists sharpened our focus on the medium and the strategies used to extend it.
